Green Nail Polish
Green has been growing on me this year and creeping into corners of my home, wardrobe and nail polish collection, in particular. A colour that might make some feel queasy can look unexpectedly cool.
Many years ago, I remember reading that Olivia Palermo (of The City and 2010s street style fame) only ever wore red polish, letting it stand alone and pop against outfits or blend into others.
I’ve decided to let dark green have its moment too. It happens to feel cosy and festive at this time of year, but can be a surprisingly versatile alternative to classic reds or burgundy nail shades in any season.
I love bright mint and soft sage polishes too, but I stuck to swatching deeper shades for you this time, ranging from olive and hunter green, to richer emerald and forest tones. You can see the shortlist below.
